2011 — A flash of inspiration

The idea of launching a match-based recruitment technology came from a personal experience of the founder who experienced the frustrations and inefficiencies of the job search process. After several months and too many interviews… she decided to dedicate herself to solving this important issue by bringing technology to the rescue of job search and hiring. Founded in 2011, the company had a very clear vision: Reinventing recruitment and doing things differently.

2014 — HR Market innovators

After a few years of working in the trenches, Workland launches the first version of its match-making platform. The concept is very similar to a dating site but for work. Candidates love it. Companies are not quite ready for the future of HR… Workland decides to pivot into service mode and offer turn-key agency services, in order to give the market some time to evolve and allow for the digital disruption to make its way into HR.

2016 — Official launch of ATLAS

After years of co-development, testing and using its own technology in the execution of some of the world’s most complex recruitment mandates… Workland officially launches ATLAS, an advanced recruitment system and much more complete version of its initial matching system.

2018 — Next version of ATLAS

After co-developing features and applications with large corporations, the provincial and federal governments and public sector organizations, ATLAS V2 is released. Workland secures its infrastructure and obtains federal government level security clearance.

2024 – Certifications of ATLAS

Committed to maintaining rigorous security measures and compliance with all data security and privacy laws, Workland achieves both SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022 certifications.

Today

Time flies…and we are now on version 9 of ATLAS, which provides everything organizations need to recruit more effectively. Delivering year after year on the promise to constantly evolve with changing times, Workland is proud to be the only recruitment software editor to focus particularly on the needs of government and public sector entities in Canada, while being perfectly suited for the private sector.
